SKD Youth Ministry in Action

Goals:

To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ
To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community
To foster the personal and spiritual growth of each young person
To provide safe and fun opportunities for learning and building relationships in the community

Youth Serve

Youth Serve is the sight for youth to check out immediate opportunties to serve our parish, church, community and/or world. If you have an idea/opportunity for youth to share their gifts, contact Sister Bridget. If you need encouragement as a youth to participate in one of these events:
a) pray about it
b) check out Matthew 22:37-39 or 25:31-40
c) talk to an adult about your hesitations
d) find a friend to share the activity with you

Altar Servers / Readers / Ushers

Weekend Masses
Join other youth of the parish in providing important assistance at Mass. Altar servers open to all youth (both boys and girls) who have made their First Communion. Readers and Ushers its time to let your light shine! To get trained in on any of these important ministries, contact Marc Stockert for future trainings.

Children's Liturgy of the Word Assistant

Sunday 10:00 a.m. Mass
Ages: 12-18
Assist the adult leaders with this weekly ministry; average commitment is once every 4 weeks. Contact S. Bridget for training and scheduling if you're interested in helping out with this important ministry.

Coffee and Donuts

Sundays at Church / Once every other month
Ages: 12-18
Join other youth of the parish to provide hospitality for the parish community at our Sunday 10am Masses. Great fun setting things up, taste-testing the donuts and freeing others to have some time socializing. Contact S. Bridget for more information. Upcoming schedule:

Nursery Assistant

Sunday 10:00 a.m. Mass , Ages: 12-18
