The St. Katharine Drexel Meal Ministry was created after a small group of women began to recognize a need within our parish to provide meals to families. The group began by informally providing meals to a few families recovering from surgery and prolonged illness. Word spread and more volunteers stepped forward asking to be a part of this wonderful ministry. It was decided that an on-line scheduling website would be the most efficient way to manage the meals and scheduling so MealTrain was set up for St. Katharine Drexel. This website allows those receiving the meals to be an active participant in the scheduling of their meals and enables the coordination of the volunteers with minimal phone calls.
