Our History:

Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Community Comes to Ramsey!

Fr. Paul Jaroszeski and Sr. Dianne Perry, SSND accepted the assignment to found a new Catholic parish in Ramsey, Minnesota.  St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Community was formed in May of 2004 and began with sixty families.  The first Mass was celebrated on January 30, 2005.  Facilities at PACT school were rented to provide the first gathering space for Mass on Sundays and some Holy Days.  Office space was rented at a suite in Business Enterprises on 143rd Avenue in Ramsey where daily Mass is celebrated.  Committee meetings and Faith Formation gatherings meet here as well.

St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Community received an original gift of twenty five acres of land located at 161st and Variolite Street in Ramsey for construction of a new church building.  Ten additional acres have been added to the original gift.  The first building will be multipurpose and serve as our worship and meeting space as well as provide offices for our staff.

A Building Committee was formed and Station 19 was selected as the architectural firm along with the Building and Design Committees to plan the new facility.  The Building Committee meets monthly on the second Thursday at 6:45 pm at the parish offices.
