"Peacefully do at each moment what at that moment needs to be done." St. Katharine Drexel
St. Katharine Drexel Katharine Drexel was an American, a Catholic and mother of a spiritual family. God called her to share the message of the Gospel and the life of the Eucharist with the poor and oppressed among the Native and African American people. She founded the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament whose vowed purpose is to do the same. Katharine Drexel saw the Eucharist, the living Presence of Jesus, as the ultimate bond of union among God's people. She desired to bring Jesus to everyone within reach of her person and works.
Katharine Drexel was declared a saint on October 1, 2000 and her feast day is March 3rd. To learn more about the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and St. Katharine Drexel, click here.
